Edith's Neighborhood Bistro

This is an elegant restaurant, special events can be celebrated here as for our family event, baptism. Order ala cart or hor'dourves. The soup is too salty. The salad too plain, all greens. For the price the host paid, grape tomatoes, julienned red bell pepper would have accentuated the salad. The baked flounder w white sauce plenty of fingerling potatoes is filling good. 2 orders amongst the guest were serve 1 hr late. The host asked it be written off the bill considering there's 12 guest in our table 1 order was written off.. There's only 1 waiter we saw another events occurring. I guess, staffing is really bad. Restaurant decor is amazing w decorated cakes on pedestal wall nook, baking pins as accent to separate tables. There's problem with the entrance side door, its jammed, people in our table keeps opening the door for customers coming in. Hopefully, the owner remedy the issues because its such a beautiful restaurant. There is always room for improvement. Price... Kid-friendliness: This place is kid-friendly, people are tolerant of my 2 grandchildren who runs about.Wheelchair accessibility: No problem for wheelchair accessibility.

The food was awful. Overcooked beef with dry potatoes that have probably been sitting under a heating lamp for too long. No coffee options when we were there at 11am on a weekend. Do not recommend. Edith's on mockingbird was great when it first opened, this location is nothing like that.

The menu looked good and the pictures looked amazing, so we thought we'd try it out. The two of us came in for brunch today at 12:15 pm and waited for about five minutes before anyone working there acknowledged us. There were only three tables occupied, but we were told that the rest were reserved for other people. I was surprised that the two working there noticed us, but never said anything to us until we had been standing there, uncomfortably for five minutes. Since we were denied a table, we walked across the street to the competition for mimosas and brunch. After brunch, we passed Edith's again and noticed that most of the restaurant was still very empty. I find it baffling that someone would turn away new patrons so quickly. It's a shame.

So I 'm going to try and be nice, this place isn 't good. We did have a big group. We understood our food was going to take a little longer to get to us but here we are 3 hours later...THREE hours...THREE HOURS LATER and we were 1 of 4 groups of people at a place that has the capacity over 200-3 people still didn 't get there food.-4 people got half their food-1 person got the rest of their food at the 3 hour mark-they kept apologizing and said they 'll discount what we didn 't get-that didn 't happen. Had to send the tab back twice because couple of people got a discount but then others didn 't.Finally they called the cops (bit excessive) they were afraid we weren 't gonna pay yet people who didn 't get their food shouldnt have to pay in my opinion. Cops thought the same. So surprise this place is still open at this location. Reviews like this has been happening for over 5 months.
