Contribuiți la feedbackAfter the change of property, the eagle is back in high flight. We ate of the Palatinate Card. Especially successful: the Pfälzer Tapas! And a great wine card with a wide selection of Rhodter wines! You're welcome in October.
We stayed there in July 2011 with our whole family for an extended weekend, a part of the family also became there for overnight stay. Friendly, for our 2 families the next room was reserved for breakfast and dinner, we were also allowed to bring our 2 Labradore. The atmosphere and food were excellent as well as the suggested drinks. Thank you for this unforgettable stay

Due to the friendly treatment during the reservation and the beautiful courtyard the expectations were high. The menu is small and completely sufficient, as in addition to 2 menus various classics of regional cuisine are offered. In addition to open wines, the wine card also has enough bottle wines to choose from, so that something can be found for every taste. We also had to taste 2 wines to find the right wine for us. We have tried to exchange the appetizer with the other menu within the 2 menus, but this is not possible and was immediately rejected. We then decided for the vegetarian menu: As an appetizer there were gratinated goat cheese on wild herbs salad. The appetizer was tasty and harmonious. The main food was filled eggplants with sheep cheese in a kind of gray-penrisotto, which tasted very faded. The eggplant roll was tough and not well roasted, the risotto had little taste. Who knows eggplants grilled from Italy or France knows how well they can taste. At the request of the service we pointed out, but there was neither an apology nor an offer for a change. The dessert, a cream Brulee with self-made berry ice cream, was outstanding again. Conclusion: Price performance was not optimal in our individual case if I compare it for example with the Bach-Meyer in Bad Dürkheim. The ambience is very beautiful but for us no reason to come again. There are enough alternatives in the Palatinate.
Unfortunately not recommended for us. The food was only average (yet graciously rated) and a funny herb taste was in all dishes, although different dishes were eaten. We were the only guests and the staff then moved in front of us to let ourselves in the guest room to smoke in the courtyard.
