I, my daughter and my friend had a great evening tonight. we all enjoyed our meals.then they, cook shawn .even the Fussy-Esser polishes everything off. lol ryan was also very friendly and helpful. the other waiter was also great (sorry i missed his name). we were for quiz with craig .an excellent host. (we came 3).

This Is 5 Star Service In A Place You Would Never Expect Listen this is a chain pub restaurant but the food is great and the prices are really good. But what separates it from the rest is the staff and their service. Now I know people don't like opinionated entertaining staff who know what they are talking about. But for me in this kind of environment this makes for a great evening. Keep up the good work folks and keep encouraging this kind of service Marstons

Arriving at the hotel at approx 6pm, we were greeted by a sign saying to collect the key from the adjacent pub. Walking into the pub, the first obvious thing was the group of about 6 10 very drunk and incredibly loud and crass men. They were shouting horrible swear words at each other and continued to do so for about an hour. That aside, the drinks menu we were given had no prices on we know what they sell in bars what we're interested in is how much things cost. The meal we were served (just before 8pm when the kitchen closed) was at best barely acceptable and I wouldn't order another based on that. We were then told that last orders at the bar were at 10.30pm disappointing when we went out for my birthday and it was a Friday night. The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean/warm and for the price, I couldn't fault it. Would I go back? well for the price of the room yes. I guess we were unlucky with the rowdiness in the bar and it was late when we ordered food.

We came to the restaurant for a family meal. We'll the 3 of us. The bar staff are very friendly and chirpy. One of us suffers from Coeliac disease. We asked for advice on the gluten free menu and was informed well on the meals available. The meals arrived hot and cooked well. Very tasty too

Arrived for breakfast following my father in laws funeral, staff were most friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and we loved that we could help ourselves to drinks cereals and toast. Special thanks to the lady with dark hair (sorry didn't get a name) she was friendly and humerous throughout which is what we needed. We will definitely be back
