Half Moon - Redcar and Cleveland

We stopped by in the afternoon during the week for a Parmo. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. We didn't have to wait long for our meal, although it was a bit on the pricey side. But in the end, it was definitely worth the cost.

I recently went for lunch with a group of 10 people and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. The staff was friendly and efficiently brought out all of our meals at the same time. The homemade chips were a nice addition. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years with my husband. When he passed away last year, I never thought I would go to a restaurant on my own. However, I was missing their sizzling steak, which I consider the best I have ever tasted. About 6 months ago, I decided to go back and was pleasantly surprised by how welcome and comfortable I felt on my own. The food is consistently great, and the portion sizes are so generous that I can get two meals out of one. They also offer takeaways, which is great value for money. I recently visited on a country and western night, they have once a month, which includes entertainment along with the meal. What really makes this place special is the staff who always go out of their way to ensure you are looked after and are so friendly. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.

We went here especially as my Husband has to have gluten free food. The pub is very clean and the staff very friendly. The Gluten free menu is extensive. We had Sunday Lunch and it was reasonably good. My Husband had Yorkshire puds which were gluten free and home made which was very good. The service was excellent and the place was very full. It is probably best to book in advance. I have to admit though that we have had food as good as this at other places and although it was enjoyable it was not anything special. The meat was very thin and a bit grisly but the veg and everything else was fine. We would probably go again during the week to try some other gluten free choices. This is an ideal place for anyone who worried about eating out because of their gluten intolerance.
