Wendy's - Red Deer

The food was decent, typical of what you’d expect from Wendy's. It’s usually reliable. However, I found the manager's approach to pricing quite unappealing. At every other Wendy's I’ve visited, I’ve always been charged based on the exact items I ordered. For instance, I typically order four large beef patties with cheese—sometimes with bacon, sometimes without. I’ve never had an issue paying only for those specific items. But at this location, although the staff was friendly, they charged me for a whole cheeseburger, which ended up being at least 50% more than what I usually pay. That definitely adds up, especially in this economy. I understand there may be protocols, but this feels more like greed than anything else, which I find quite off-putting. I likely won’t be returning, as there are plenty of other Wendy's locations and alternative places to get what I need. Thanks for reading my thoughts on this experience.

Wendy's North is amazing! I've always had a great experience there since I started going as a kid in the 90s. I’ve never been disappointed!

I just experienced the worst service at this restaurant. I ordered two Junior Chicken burgers but received regular hamburgers instead, and I also ordered a poutine but didn’t get it at all. This was during a drive-thru visit, and I only realized the mistake when I got home. When I returned to address the issue, the manager was extremely rude. I find it hard to understand how someone with such poor customer service skills can hold a management position—it’s truly baffling. The manager insisted there have never been Junior Chicken burgers, which would have been helpful to know at the time of ordering, and she claimed I hadn’t ordered a poutine, even though I am absolutely sure I did. She then proceeded to wave the receipt in my face in a condescending manner. I approached her without any hostility, simply wanting to correct the error. Ultimately, after experiencing her rudeness, I drove away and decided I will not be returning. I would rate this experience 0/5 stars.

Heaven forbid you have a complaint at this store... I took back my spicy chicken burger thinking absolutely theyll all agree and say sorry or something haha well they all looked all agreed that they are just like that now? Which is paper thin and absolutely not fresh... there was zero meat.... there were 3 girls they went from almost nice before when I ordered to just absolutely cold like ibwas stealing money from them... and the one finally snatched it out of my hand no words spoken and 2 minutes later passed it to me no sorry or thank u just shut the window lol... that one was how it was supposed to be?? Fresh and juicy... obviously not all like that lol I always get it so I knew differently... absolutely horrible service like less then zero.

Take out.My Ceasar salad came without a utensil, and the croutons were crushed into powder crumbs, did throw it out. The new guy that took my order was green but that's the nature of the beast. Overall, won't go there again.
