Mongolie Grill - Red Deer County

We used to frequent this place when it first opened many years ago.Today it is a far cry from those days.Very expensive and the place is not being maintained.No more for us.

I love stirfry and it's been a while since we were there. I remember why! They charge by weight and it's seriously outrageous. There was 8 of us and each bowl was average $20/30 and by the time it was cooked everything shrunk down so small we all left hungry. I was very careful only adding a bit of sauce and canned shrimp for protein and it was still $24They offer wraps - which taste like wet naps - my daughter tried washing her hands and face with them.

I went tonight for dinner with my mom and 2 children. We arrived about 45 minutes before closing. Eating here is very fast usually and we have been here before many times and never had an experience like this. The waitress asked us what we wanted and seemed annoyed that we were even there. Then, the kids ordered spring rolls, grilled cheese, and chicken fingers (all fast meals). The waitress came back and told us they were closing soon and to get our bowls made sooner than later. Then, we had barely eaten our meals (more than 1/2 remaining) and she walked over and asked if she could get us our bill. We said sure. Then she came with it and asked if she could bring us boxes for the rest of our food. She was hovering and asking us if we were ready to go throughout the entire meal, even before bringing the bill. I have never actually written a complaint about a restaurant, nor have I ever complained about poor service as I bartended for 10 years, but when there is 45 minutes till closing at a place where food is made fast, there is no excuse for poor service like this. I was completely appalled and will never return.

My kids like that they can pick what they like for their bowl. They love the wraps.I like that they are really good with allergies & have a dedicated spot to cook it. They even recooked my son's bowl when he forgot to tell them about his allergies.A great restaurant for families.

This is the 2nd time we have been here. It was my grandson's birthday, 9 years old & he picked the place for the 2nd year in a row. The food is great, you not only pick what you want according to your appetite, but you can watch it being cooked if so desired. I defy you to try to create your dish the same each time. An enjoyable dining experience..
