Shanghai Inn - Rancho Mirage

We were so happy to find a good Chinese food restaurant nearby! Food is good quality and service came with a smile, I'm pretty sure she was smiling under her mask, anyway she was very nice and took great care of us! Atmosphere exceeded expectations for a strip mall restaurant. Nice decor.

This is my place for crispy duck and sautéed vegetable. It has been so for years and the quality has never changed

With nice decor and a calm and relaxing atmosphere, this Chinese restaurant is a cut above what one would expect in a strip mall. The portions are fairly large; even the discounted lunch specials are pretty sizable. The food, while not incredible, is certainly well made and tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby and enjoy Chinese food. One thing that I appreciate is if you let them know you're by yourself and in a hurry, you can get your food within just a few minutes of sitting down. I've been coming here on and off for just under a decade, and haven't been disappointed yet.

20% gratuity? Server kept walking back and forth to pick up phone while taking our order. Multiple times interrupted. Not busy. Also I had to request for a detailed receipt because the receipt I was signing seemed slightly higher. It did not say anything about gratuity charge. The detailed receipt I asked for did. Food needs a little bit more flavor.

Called in a order and they had my order ready quickly and she even called to let me know my order was ready very nice of her . I will be returning again .
