Golden China - Raleigh

I got shrimp fried rice at closing time and the food was fresh. The order was ready in about 7-10 min! Huge portion of food but could use a little more flavor. Staff at counter was friendly!

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever gotten. I ordered shrimp fried rice, an order of chicken wings, beef broccoli with fried rice. It literally looked like the shrimp fried rice had been made last week and they just reheated it to sell. I gave it a chance and fixed a plate. It tasted just how it looked. The chicken wings tasted like they had been fried on Monday and dropped back in the grease to heat up. It was DISGUSTING. The beef and broccoli, my boyfriend only ate a small portion. He said he didn’t like it. It was late, I didn’t call because I know they weren’t going to give me a refund and I didn’t feel like making myself madder than what I was. I also did not want them to reheat more food and try to give it to me. I should’ve known when I pulled up and the place was empty not to eat there. Good Chinese food in Raleigh is hard to come by. I wouldn’t give this food to a homeless person to eat.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for the three years I’ve lived in NC and I must say it’s the best I’ve ever been to. The lady at the counter is always so sweet and friendly, for take out orders it’s not too much of a long wait. Food is always great in my opinion, I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for cheap but also good take out for lunch or dinner.

They use spaghetti noodles instead of rice noodles for lo mein

Exactly what we were looking for! Good, cheap food. The portions are great and there is indoor seating. The bathrooms are very clean and accessible. No fuss ordering and they have a menu taped up to the window so if you need a few minutes to look it over before heading in you can take your time. Very friendly and helpful staff!
