EL Jardin is definitely unique and high quality when it comes to fine food. It is a very intimate, romantic place to take your date. During our visit our waiter was excellent and offered such a professional service. When I work for the fine dining industry, I can say it was best. Our dishes were cooked with perfection. I had the fillet cut and my friend had the beef-choorizo cut. Accompanied by potatoes, vegetables and delicious champagne and red wine. We were also greeted with champagne at the house and start a small amuse. Very unforgettable, Dessert was delish! Loved the Pistachios dessert. My friend and I agree that it was the best meal on our trip, not to forget that we visited many places, including Buenos Aires.
We live in Iguazu Grand, where this restaurant is located and went to dinner on three separate nights. We had a la carte food every time (Did not mention in all that you eat system in other reviews. The food was inevitably delicious and carefully presented in a nouvelle cuisine style (visually pleasant island of food in a large white plate surface. We especially enjoyed a gravlox blini salad and an oven baked bondiola (pork-loin dish that was like butter. Deserts were creative and tempting, good use of local flavors such as maracuya (pasion fruit. There was a good selection of wines and cocktails that are common in this part of the world (caipirinha, etc.). The waiters were helpful, calm and underestimated as you would expect in this upscale, relatively formal dining room. The only slightly strange practice was that your table could be served by various waiters at different places of the evening (not clear if you were served by someone who was closest/free at any time, your previous waiter went out of duty or what the logic was. The last time we went to dinner there, the menu had gone through a complete makeover with all new dishes. That threw us a little, but the variation made us feel like we found a new restaurant. The whole restaurant really improved our hotel stay.
Was in a gambling mood so on casino. Here for dinner. It was pretty good. I guess I was early for Argentina dinner at 8 a.m. so literally only person in the restaurant was surrounded by an army of employees. Appropriately well served. Get a free sparkling wine and Musée beech. Have ribeye on a bed of quinoa and roasted tomatoes and mushrooms with bacon. Coupled with a modest Cabernet. Everything was really good to my taste (a perfect medium) and the service was attentive. Was about $60 including a bottle of still water. Not sure if this is on the expensive side as it was my first meal in Argentina, but seemed fair to me. If you're in the area, definitely worth a try.
I've eaten in this restaurant while spending the night in the Casino Iguazu. Food was regular, nothing that you would expect from a luxurious hotel. It's an all-you-can-eat kind of restaurant. We've payed USS60 per person! Absolutely outrageous. It's definitely a no-no.
