Ura Street Food - Powys

I had two chili rotis and one kartoffel roti with two vegetable samosas. They were fantastic and freshly cooked to order.

We have always thought to visit, but never made it to last week! I told the lady that this was my first visit and she could explain the menu. she was very friendly and chatting and ran through her menu and I was. so tried that I bought the potato pack, slicewrap, samosa and garlic potatoes. the packs are freshly cooked. they are rolled out before them and cooked to order. I noticed that locals buy a lot of food. probably take them back to work to share with their colleagues. we took the food home and divided it. all the dishes were so delicious. I will make a special point at the next visit to machynlleth. I suggest, too.

I’ve been buying my Wednesday lunch from Shirley’s magical kitchen on wheels for several years now. We always have a lovely banter and frankly it’s the best and most authentic Indian food I’ve ever tasted.

Came here for lunch, you do have to wait a while as all the food is cooked to order. The owner is fun and friendly and has such a warm personality. We ordered a dal which was amazing so many layers of flavour, and a...small amount of warmth that built over time. The wraps were tasty too and the fresh bread to die for. It was worth the wait in the rain.

Shirley's food is a Machynlleth institution and not to be missed. Make sure you check the ordering details on the website in plenty of time though!
