Barking Dog Saloon - Potsdam

We ordered pizza and grilled chicken salad to go, they were both excellent!! Your pizza is great! It was also really good salad! Thank you.

Our meal was cooked to perfection and delicious, the waitress was absolutely amazing to choose with a large selection of drinks. All in all very satisfied and will return.

We ventured over to the Barking Dog Saloon because it did have good reviews and pictures of food looked good. Maybe the food would have been good but everything was very uncomfortable right from the road. First we had to venture down through a metal scrap yard. Fearing we took a wrong turn, we turned around and went back up to the main road. We saw the sign was there, so ventured back down through the metal scrap yard again. When we pulled up, we saw a sign for an ammo shop but again didn't see any sign for the saloon. Sitting in the car for a few minutes, my daughter in law finally decided to venture around where there was appeared to be an outside area. We there finally found a door that said it was the entrance. We went inside and there was only one bartender and a bunch of patrons drinking. There was really no indication that food would be served there and becoming very uncomfortable, we decided to leave and decided to find something a little more family friendly. Now...I'm in no way saying the food would have been bad. In fact it might have been the best we've ever eaten. But I guess we will never know.

Our first visit, and we'll be back. Great clam strips, onion rings, service, and atmosphere. Very clean and welcoming place!

First time there. Had beer and food. Happy with both.
