Wilson County Barbecue - Portland

The atmosphere and service was very good. Pulled pork was horrible. It was over cooked and very spicy. I’ve had pulled pork all throughout the southern states and never had it spicy before. The food was over price. I would not recommend a pulled pork here.

Cute and easy spot for BBQ. We enjoyed the pulled pork, pork belly and coleslaw. We thought the chicken was a little over brined/heavy dill taste.Parking: On the other side of the building there was a small lot of parking spots.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu but items some kids may like included waffles, biscuits and homemade Mac cheese.

Wilson's has some of the best happy hour in town. Cannot beat the deal on wings. All snacks are half off and served as a generous portion. Kale salad was summery, light, and refreshing. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with fire pits.

I was a little surprised that they don’t have a bbq combo plate on their menu where you can choose a variety of different bbq meat and sides. Also , I didn’t see any brisket or cornbread on the menu. First bbq place I have been to that doesn’t serve brisket. The pull pork wasn’t seasoned enough. They have side sauces available. The crispy chicken sandwich and sides were delicious.

Great barbecue in a coastal town. Plus they had sweet tea.
