The service was great so no complaints there. My issue was definitely the food. My friend had a chicken pot pie which was just a chicken pot pie adjacent soup that was served in a bread bowl. It was like something you could get from Panera for half the price. Calling this a pie is a disservice. I had the fish and chips. The chips were cooked very well, but the fish was overcooked. I do appreciate that it was fresh fish and battered in house, but it could have used a minute less in the fry basket.Also my friend wanted me to edit here : the chicken pot pie was also incredibly bland.

Absolutely love this place! Been coming here for 2 years and have never been disappointed. Wendy is the best bartender, super friendly and amazing bartender! All employees are very welcoming and friendly.Would highly recommend the burgers! The quesadilla with chicken is an amazing appetizer to share. Had almost every item on the menu and love every dish.

Tried Portland Ale House last night for the first time... 4 1/2 stars, can I do that? It wasn't perfection, but it was really good!! Sarah, our server was very attentive and sweet- have fun in Germany!! We shared the fried pickled, usually a go to wherever we can get them, and these were the only bad thing we ordered. They were so salty that we couldnt even get 1/4 of the way through. My husband said that his burger with blue cheese on it was one of the best burgers he's had. It was cooked perfectly and has quality blue cheese on it. It was a 5+. I had the crab cakes and French onion soup, both very good! Theres also a great selecrion of draft beers. We'll definitely be back!

Great vibe! Fun, comfy place to grab a drink and nachos and watch a game. Bartender Wendy is always welcoming and adds a pinch of southern hospitality and good humor with every drink she serves up! Truly and asset to PAH!
