Clyde Common - Portland

This is a spacious restaurant located in downtown Portland. I had an incredible gin cocktail and enjoyed a glass of wine from their great selection. The Braised Lamb Shank that I chose as my entree was absolutely amazing and I can't stop thinking about it. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Great service but the food wasn’t anything to write home about. The portions were quite small. I ordered a starter, main, and a couple drinks but still left a little hungry which rarely happens. The cheese board came with 4 small crackers total and the lamb shank was 90% bone with very little meat.

Birthday. I didn’t like eating upstairs I prefer lower level small intimate tables

The space is cool, and the cocktails are very good. The staff is friendly. We were able to get a reservation on the Saturday after Valentine’s Day, which was great. It’s very loud, and I had trouble hearing our server. They brought the wrong drink at first. I had to use the bathroom, and the hostess came out just before I went in, and there was no TP in the dispenser. I got the orecchiette, and it was wayyyy over salted. My husband had the plank trout, which was good, and the green salad was also good. Overall, not bad, but also not worth paying a babysitter for.

Cocktails were good. Middle of the road food, and not worth the price. Three of the four dishes we had were over salted. The waiter was great, and the atmosphere was good, but there are so many better options in Portland, many of which are more reasonably priced for the quality.
