There were also no condiments provided, and the portion of fries was very small, only about 20 in total. The hot dog, along with a bottle of Mexican beer and a glass of red wine, ended up costing us $43.00 plus tip. Overall, we felt like we did not get our money's worth and left feeling cheated.
Awesome place! Pino’s cooking is straight out of heart. The best fries I have had in a while. Great place for anyone coming down to port hope to see the salmon run or fishing. Loved it!
Outstanding service However the restaurant was grubby, seemed to be ready to close for the season. Fish (portion was small) and chips tasted delicious. Burger was yummy. Not likely to make the drive back to this location again although it is beautifully located on east
My family and I, 2 adults and 2 kids, visited this restaurant where prices were not posted. We ordered 2 coffees (priced at $4.50 each), 1 hot chocolate ($8.00), and 1 ice cream ($8.00). The ice cream and hot chocolate were average, although very expensive, but the coffee was terrible, tasting like thin brown water. It is understandable that small town cafe prices may be higher than Tim Hortons or McDonald's, but the quality and atmosphere at this place are severely lacking. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant, as there are many other reviews with similar experiences. It seems like they are able to stay in business by overcharging uninformed tourists.
So we went here for a bite to eat on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Cute place on the water. The waitress was nice and took our counter order. We had fish with fries. The food was not great. Greasy and not much taste, fries just okay. The price? Way to much for a small bit of fish between 2 pieces of bread. Came to $60 for both of us. We decided to go next door to get ice cream. Two very small cones with mini scoops of Kawartha dairy ice cream for $18??? We nearly flipped. The price definitely did not match the quantity. Suffice it to say, lunch cost us nearly $80....no view is worth that!
