Glen Lyon Inn - Port Hardy

Picked up bedbugs from this place. Smells like cigarettes in lobby and room.They screwed up my reservation and didn’t get my name right. Avoid this place if coming into town late or on a ferry day.

They screwed up my reservation- I had a confirmation and everything, but no room at the inn. Bad management. Apparently ’they’ do all kinds of weird things… I was very disappointed. I ended up having to stay 1/2 hour away. I had to drive back to Port McNeil after driving all day to get to Port Hardy from Victoria. And now I have more travel expense and time wasted in order to do my plans in Port Hardy tomorrow. Lame.

We were only here overnight but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was tidy, bed was comfortable with good linens. Bathroom was recently remodeled and clean with nice towels and amenities. The food at the restaurant was surprisingly good and everyone was super friendly! We didn't have a car so visiting town was a bit of a walk away. The area is very peaceful and the view from our room to the water was beautiful.

Very nice room looking out at the bay. Eagles were constantly in sight. Casandra was very helpful at the front desk with her knowledge of the BC Ferry system.We had a great lunch at the restaurant.

The room was clean, comfortable and the eagles provided great entertainment. Sandra at the front desk helped us get back home after we got a flat tire. She went above and beyond by locating a certified mechanic to replace our flat tire during a long weekend, when all the other places were closed. A memorable stay for us.
