Ocean Grille - Port Bolivar

This place was super busy 2 hours before closing on the last night we were visiting Crystal Beach, Texas. The staff was patient and still cared about our concerns and needs once we were seated. This location was recommended to us by some locals and they were right! Food was good and plentiful. Our waitress was young and tired but still kept 100% throughout our dinner! We tipped her accordingly as well. She not only deserve it she earned it! My son order the chicken fried steak and I got the seafood platter. That platter was enough for me and my wife. Thanks again for a great meal and thanks for hiring the hardest young workers we have seen in a long while!!

I can't quite give it 5 stars, but its a high 4. Our server was really nice, Courtney I think. Awesome onion rings. Thin crust pizza was really good. Definitely will go back.

My kids got the seafood platter. So much variety and it was absolutely delicious. I got blackened chicken, jalapeño corn and friend okra. My husband got the blacked catfish. It was all AMAZING. Wait staff was friendly and very attentive. I had low hopes because the menu is basic but I was pretty blown away so the the flavor of the food. Also enjoyed the vibe here.

Decent thin crust pizza, generous with the cheese. We also got the fried green beans which were pretty good. We ordered over the phone with ease and it was ready quickly for pickup. We would go back again. Update: we went back a second time on the same trip. I got some boiled shrimp and a Swiss mushroom burger. The shrimp was incredible!! I can’t say it enough, I’ve never had shrimp this good. The burger was really good too, but the shrimp was the star! Enough to upgrade to 5 stars.

I decided to try this restaurant after discovering that Stingerees was unexpectedly closed, despite their online hours indicating they were open on a Wednesday at noon. I’m glad I made the switch! I absolutely loved the bacon and queso French fries appetizer, as well as the alligator balls appetizer. The ribeye was fantastic—large enough for two to share! However, the garlic mashed potatoes were just okay as a side. My son was thrilled with his triple shrimp plate, especially enjoying the grilled shrimp.
