The Hitchin Post Grill - Ponoka

This was our first time dining at this restaurant. We were just passing through Ponoka and decided to give it a try. The service was excellent and the food was quite good. I ordered the chicken and ribs, which had a generous portion of meat. My wife had the fish and chips, with a good portion of fish and a light batter. Overall, we would rate the food 4 out of 5.

Stopped for dinner here again. My meal was okay, but the coffee was cold, and my partners steak was tough and not cooked as liked.Server seemed like he didn't want to be there.Food: 3/5

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch here on Saturday. We came in from the City and had our Toy Poodle with us. We had our lunch on the dog friendly, comfortable Patio which is spacious, clean and lovely. My husband had the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and I had Soup of the Day (delicious, homemade Turkey noodle) plus Burger Fries. Great Burger and the Fries were crispy and superior to most restaurants. Our dog had a burger cut up on plate. He was VERY happy. Our food was excellent as was the service from our friendly Server. The menu has an impressive list of choices. Highly recommend this exceptional Restaurant! Will be back whenever we are in Ponoka!Thank you!

Absolutely brutal. Asked for the soup and had nothing in it. Asked what I can do about the soup, they offered to refill it. Came back with less in it. If I wanted straight broth I would have went to Nofrills and used my own microwave. Asked for water and didn’t receive it. No napkins or cutlery. Waitress was very rude to me and other tables. Absolutely will not be coming back ever again.
