Southern Belle's Pancake House

First Time and definitely going back from our server to the food absolutely exceeded my expectations to think it would be like other locations Nope! This one was so flavorful not one thing I'd change. I have never ordered a skillet or any item that wasn't missing something and this Chicken Skillet no bacon added came piping hot just like I like to see the steam and the biscuit soft and reminding me of Sunday mornings when I was little a piece of Nostalgia. The potatoes and eggs cooked just right and the chicken juicy not dry one bit. Our server I believe was Alex or Stephanie my memory isn't the best if I wait to add these but she was amazing I asked for no bacon and it was added but I would've never known if she didn't tell me. She never brought it to the table or told us until they remade it and I really appreciated that plus the wait wasn't bad I just assumed it was from the crowd but it was because she cared. She wanted everything to be right and my husband's Camp Pancakes OMG huge very filling and full of S'mores flavor they nailed it with this one because all we were missing was the campfire lol Southern Belle's Plainfield is a new fave and I cannot wait to try more items. The place wasn't overcrowded and our food came in good timing. This is a must try for everyone that loves good food and service exceptionally well 210

Had brunch with a friend and spent 3 hours there catching up. It was a Friday and only at half capacity, so they didn't mind our lingering around. Our waitress was so sweet, coming back and forth to us (literally 20+ times), checking on our needs for refills of coffee creamers and water. She had such a genuine smile each time! (Darn. I wish I could remember her name) Thank you, Miss Tall Smile!

So, I'm adding to my review. My son, daughter law, and were there today their 1st. I've been quite a few times. Today was my 1st bad experience. I had the vegetable skillet. Needless to say, there was cardboard under my eggs. How did the cook not see this?
