I cannot say enough good things about this venue. For the life of me, I cannot remember if I had ever been here before but it truly didn't matter; everything was extraordinary. My guest and I arrived a little early for our reservation but we were able to find a place at the bar for a few drinks and cocktails before getting called to be seated. Our server was amazing and extremely personable. She treated us like we were exalted guests, even though we barely eat out at fancier restaurants. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and cozy and fit the overall niche of the restaurant's theme. The food we ordered was cooked to perfection and was extremely delicious. I personally had the spaghetti bolognese; the pasta was cooked to perfection and the bolognese sauce tasted amazing. I definitely plan on returning to this venue for special events, and maybe even a casual dinner, in the future!
First time trying French food and although the experience was fancy and unique, the food itself was just mediocre. Perhaps it's just Parc and the food in France actually tastes better, but my tastebuds were not please by the extremely salty mushroom tart and bland beef Bourguignon. The escargot was tasty with the bread but quickly got old after the second bite. The mushroom soup was satisfying though. The three different breads were a fun starter and I really enjoyed the walnut bread paired with the butter. The service was good and my glass of water was constantly refilled which helped tremendously with the saltiness of the food. The ambiance is intimate and feels timeless. Overall, the service and ambiance is nice but the food was just not great. If the food was exceptionally tasty, it would justify the high prices but it wasn't and I felt that I overpaid. *BONUS: the best part of my meal was the walnut bread paired with the butter, it was so good I think i would stop by for an $11 loaf to take home
Nice restaurant in Rittenhouse with a Parisian vibe. I came here with a large party and the service was excellent. I ordered an espresso martini, which was amazing. I shared the shrimp salad and lamb with my husband. We enjoyed both dishes a lot. We have had a shrimp salad before and it did not disappoint. I will probably order this salad every time I come here. The lamb was very good too. It has great flavor and the meat was tender. We tried a bite of our friend's Steak au Poivre. I would order that as an entree next time I dined here. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and the creamy pepper sauce was delicious. We shared dessert amongst the table. We ordered the pot de creme. It was a very rich chocolate dessert balanced nicely with fresh cream.
Went to Parc recently for a work dinner. Having only been for brunch in the past (which I am a big fan of), I was eager to try the dinner menu. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by how great the food was. Our server was attentive and knew the menu very well. Parc always provides a basket of bread before the meal. I love bread, but it seemed to be an excessive amount of bread prior to ordering the meal. My group started the meal with the Tuna carpaccio, mushroom tart, and escargot. All of these starters were good, but would not call them particularly unique. The star of my meal was the Trout. It was cooked to perfection and covered in butter, lemon and toasted almonds. The toasted almonds soaked in the butter sauce were UNREAL! Overall I had a very good meal. It was a bit rich (i.e butter forward) for my usual taste, but the vibes were high and the food was delicious. My major issue is the high prices for most of these dishes, but that is why I like brunch at Parc a bit better (great food for more reasonable prices).
