Contribuiți la feedbackWe have been quite happily coming to Tingha Palace for many years, both here and in its previous location, for occasional weekend yum cha. We found it nowhere near as good as some of the city yum cha, but it was nice and convenient and the food is fine. We decided to go for an evening meal to celebrate a family birthday. On sitting down and reading the (quite expensive! menu, we were shocked to see a range of dishes using shark fin. The shark fin industry is driving sharks to extinction around the world and the only way to stop this is to remove demand. The information is out there, widely known and if restaurateurs have it on their menu, it is an indication that they are more interested in profit that the survival of shark species. We walked out and we will not return. If you are at all concerned about the sustainability of our food, then you might want to consider going to this restaurant (or any other restaurant that sells shark fin . There are plenty of other great Chinese restaurants in and around Parramatta, Merrylands and Auburn that do not sell shark fin. There is where we will be in the future.
This is the worst Yum Cha in Sydney by a mile. Appalling service destroyed the experience with the table constantly looked over, and when offered anything with it was awful fried Western food anything remotely authentic dim sum was not offered. The closure of Phoenix at Parramatta Westfield and its captive Club audience means that this over priced slop and **** service will continue unchecked. Vote with your feet and avoid Tingha.
Came here for mother's Day dinner with the familia, couldn't be more disappointed at the food. Lobster was $80, morning glory greens fried in garlic came in at $30?!? Who prices these items? Food was bland, and exhorbitant. We ordered Peking duck, and San choy bao and combined the amount of meat we got didn't add up 12 rolls (only skin) and there was a tonne of bamboo in the bao. Avoid this place, plenty of better options out there.
Worst Chinese Restaurant in entire Sydney. Food is average. The price is above average. The service can vary between staff. Noticed one particular waitress would give flat emotion and even ignore our table but was giving so much effort and attention to the regular customers she knows. We paid couple hundred dollars for for a dinner and I felt disgusted throughout the whole dinner. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anybody and I would never return.
The corn feed chicken was coloured yellow Not fresh at all The lobster was not the same lobster they brought out from the tank!!! The quantity of the meat was reduce at from 3kg to 2.5kg total rip off Also check the bill they add addition weight and when you question them they act dumb and say it was a honest mistake. I will not go back anytime soon Just dissatisfied.
