Wine By One Vendome Opera

We came across Wine by One while on a stroll. This sort of wine dispensing apparatus has become widespread: even in our local supermarket in Cleveland, OH. They have many wines available for tasting via smartcard. You can select the size of your tasting as well. We found some very nice sweet wines, sauternes. Staff were very nice. A good place for wine enthusiasts and those who wish to learn.

Went here about 10 PM on Tuesday, May 30. Had never experienced something quite like it, but basically, they had about 40-50 wines on tap, ranging greatly in varietal, strength, and price point. You could do three types of pours; a tasting, which was 1-2 oz, a glass at 4-5 oz, or a 1/3 bottle at around 8 oz. You buy a card at the beginning and then swipe it at the tap to select your wine and pour size, at which point, it removes the cost from your card. My wife and I bought a card for 50 euro and each had probably 5-6 tastings and 2 glasses. It was a great selection and a really fun way to try out wines that you might not otherwise have a chance to taste.

It was a nice experience, I liked almost all of the wines that we tasted, the prices are good for the quality of the wines and the place itself is pleasant! We will definitely come back!!!

I was a little hesitant in the beginning, knowing that I would get my wine from a "vending machine". But in reality the experience is very nice !!You charge your card with some Euros, and then manage your budget going from one wine to another. Sparkling or not, white, red or rosé, sweet or dry... Up to you.You can also order some cheese, charcuterie and bread.Located in the middle of the banking area in Paris, this place is surrounded by a multitude of bars and other restaurants, and very easily accessible by urban transport.

We decided to eat while waiting for the rain to stop. This is a wine shop but they do have a lunch menu. Ordered a set meal and it was delicious. Salad and the coffee and its mini pastries were perfect.
