Contribuiți la feedbackAbsolute worst Thai food in Tampa Bay? Amerit Thai Grill. The Pad Thai smelled like dog and made have a sneezing spell as soon as I opened it. The spring rolls are NOT spring rolls. And the evening manager is RUDE! Don’t recommend. At least DoorDash refunded the whole meal.
We always come here at least once per week! Exceptional service, food and environment. When you come here you feel like family!
I pretty much like Penang curry chicken no matter where I go each place of course has their own unique twist but I almost always like everybody's Pnang curry chicken so I went ahead and ordered it at Amrit Thai never having been there before. First problem was they weren't even willing to consider getting me fried rice instead of white rice even though I offered to pay extra they insisted I could not do it without ordering fried rice on the side and getting both white and fried rice. Second the meal was absolutely horrible I'm quite sure basil is included in every recipe of Pnang curry chicken that I could taste no basil in fact there was almost no taste whatsoever the chicken was tough and chewy and I stopped eating the chicken after the first bite and just ate the vegetables which were completely soggy but at least I didn't have to work to digest them I ate about a third of it and threw the rest away hopefully I'll save somebody else from the experience
Tofu and veggie pad Thai tasted mostly like baby corn, and the tofu was extremely soft with a weird breading that didn’t work for me. Tofu was flavorless. Chicken Panang curry was ok. We did ask for mild spice on both which at most Thai places still has flavor but not as much spice. Here I guess it means mild flavor because both were bland. The fried spring rolls were these weird massive rolls of solid pork with a weird tempura breading. They were probably twice the diameter of a typical fried spring roll. Overall not the worst Thai I’ve ever had but definitely wasn’t great. Hopefully it was just an off night.
First timing ordering.. Disappointing dinner for takeout. Shrimp pad Thai for me, beef pad Thai for the husband. Bland noodles. Plenty of heat (spice) but lacking flavor. No green onions, no bean sprouts. Pale noodles because of lack of sauce. At first I didn't think it even had any chopped peanuts as they weren't really visible but while eating I found there was some afterall. The only upside was a decent amount of shrimp and beef in both entrees. Will not order from Amarit again unfortunately.
