Contribuiți la feedbackThe restaurant resembles more of a casual lunch counter or take-out spot, but there is seating available for 6-8 people. I decided to order the medium-sized stewed goat dish, which was served with fried plantains.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and tried their goat with black bean rice. It was delicious and the portion size was generous, especially for the price of $18 before tax.
Ordered 2 lunch specials to go, griot legumes. Not the best Haitian food I've had but it was good the service was excellent, very nice lady. Value for money is definitely there and I wouldn't hesitate going back.
Some of our favorite dishes include Cabrit (goat), marinated and fried with a rich gravy; Poulet créole (chicken), simple and delicious fried chicken with gravy; Boulettes de viande (meatballs), large beef meatballs fried and served with gravy; Griyo (pork), marinated and fried pork chunks with gravy; Mais (cornmeal), similar to grits with beans, and Riz et pois (rice and peas), a classic Caribbean dish. Bananes pesées, plantain fritters, and Salade au macaroni, a creamy cold pasta salad, are also included with every meal. The food may not be light, but it is satisfying and affordable. A $50 takeout order easily feeds our family of three for two meals. We consider the food excellent, as it is consistently prepared with love and pride by the owner, Madame Josette. We appreciate the homemade feel of the dishes and always feel well taken care of by the experienced and caring cook. We are loyal customers and highly recommend this restaurant.
I discovered this restaurant a few months ago. Since then we eat creole nouritures every 2 weeks. less than my mother-in-law cooks us, because by the way my wife is haitian and by the way, my mother-in-law also. My beautiful mother came with us one day to eat at the creole sensations restaurant and liked it well. grios, pea rice, plantain and picklys is our favorite meal. Bravo to the landlords!
