Bleu - Orlando

As guests at the Ritz, we anticipated a high standard of service. However, we were taken aback to find that an automatic gratuity was added to our bill for just two adults and one child. I had to request water twice! If a gratuity is included, the service should definitely reflect that. We were there for lunch, and it took more than an hour to receive a kid's burger and a turkey wrap.

I had lunch at this restaurant with a colleague I met at a conference, and we had agreed to split the bill evenly. We both handed our credit cards to the waitress. However, when I checked my credit card statement a few days later, I noticed that my card had been charged for the entire amount. I'm confused as to why this happened since I only signed for my half. I tried calling the hotel multiple times to get in touch with the restaurant, but they were unable to connect me. I left my number and a message, but no one ever returned my call. I find their behavior very unprofessional; it's not just about the money, but also about their lack of professionalism and ethics.

I don't have any complaints about this place. It's a pool bar at the Ritz, so prices are a bit elevated for relatively simple dishes, but the quality is excellent. I ordered the quesadilla and later the fish tacos, and both were delicious. They were brought directly to my lounge chair by the pool. There's a great variety of drinks available, and the service by the pool is impressively quick.

During our stay at the Ritz-Carlton, we decided to treat ourselves to a late lunch, but sadly, it did not meet our expectations. The chips and salsa were quite disappointing; the chips were stale and chewy, while the salsa ranked among the worst I’ve ever tasted. My husband ordered wings, which were overcooked and lacked any appeal. I opted for the Mahi-Mahi tacos, but they were bland and served with the same unappetizing salsa. Although the service was satisfactory, we noticed an automatic 18% gratuity had been added to our bill. We've enjoyed much better meals in Ohio for less than half the price. I recognize that prices can be higher in this location, but serving subpar food is simply unacceptable. I won’t be coming back!

For dessert, we indulged in a delightful strawberry key lime parfait and a rich dark chocolate and roasted pineapple parfait. To accompany our meal, we sipped on two specialty non-alcoholic drinks: Bleu lemonade and sparkling strawberry lemonade.
