Pretty good selection of draft bottled beer. Surprised by the full menu of specialty cocktails. Food menu consists of the usual suspects (beef on weck, chicken fingers, burgers), with some interesting and unexpected items, like the chipotle salmon sandwich. We shared an order of Bavarian pretzels w/ smoked gouda dip. Yum. Beef on weck, Reuben and burgers were good, but what was really impressive was the quality of the sides. The pasta and potato salads are obviously homemade, and were fresh and delicious. Their fries can best be described as curved wedges, and were hot, crispy and perfectly seasoned. Service was quick and friendly. I was puzzled when I ordered a bottled beer and the glass arrived full of ice. Um, what? And it was unfortunately way too windy to sit on the patio, but we were still able to enjoy the gorgeous view from our table next to the window. Looking forward to a return visit.
First time eating at Rootb's today. We sat outside overlooking the golf course. It was a beautiful evening with a beautiful view. Entrees had unique touches and very flavorful. The best part was the service. Erica, our waitress, was friendly, offered outstanding customer service and kept any eye on us during the entire evening. Thank you Erica. We will be back!!
Came with a party of 15 for breakfast. Can't beat the view for a restaurant in the West Seneca area. We ate on their large patio overlooking Harvest Hill golf course, surrounded by great landscaping. Breakfast (which does a slow business and likely being removed from their menu) was your basic foods...eggs with homefries/omelettes/pancakes/french toast/ breakfast wraps. Nice bread selection....I had pumpernickel. My aunt and uncle come here on Friday nights for fish fry and expect to wait for a table....so it sounds like they are busier for the dinner crowd.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is superb. With the restaurant set behind the 18th green of a beautiful golf course, the food and drink make for a great 19th hole. I ordered The Birdie with a side order of onion rings and it was fantastic. Kudos to the head chef.
Fooled me twice.... Second time in a row they screwed up our dinner. Ordered a cheeseburger medium, served it well done and burned.. Took 20 minutes to bring out a new one. My wife ordered quesadillas, they left off the ricotta cheese. Then brought out cold cheese in a cup on the side and told us to put it on ourselves. Management wasn't present on-site, offered 20% discount which they never took off the bill. The excuse was there was a new cook, but similar experience last time. Waitress didn't seem to care. That was our last visit..
