Taqueria Chango - Omaha

It's been many years since I've had the chance to enjoy sauces as rich and spicy as the ones they provided. Their tacos are the highlight of the menu, and the other dishes are also fantastic. Congratulations to the team; they really know what they're doing! The service is outstanding as well.

I absolutely enjoyed the food; everything was freshly prepared, and the salsas were amazing. The staff was very attentive and showed great pride in their dishes. I will definitely return!

This restaurant truly captures the essence of atmosphere, community, drinks, food, and affordability. I absolutely loved it—everything was fantastic! It's somewhat hidden, and the entrance isn't very clear, but once you're inside, it’s quite nice. The menu may be small, but it offers authentic dishes rather than the typical greasy beans and subpar cheese often passed off as ‘Mexican’ food. There are plenty of spicy options paired with great sauces. The service is friendly, and the lively atmosphere includes children running around. Everything is served hot and fresh, made to order. They even apologized for delays when something would take 15 minutes or more. The food was simple, hearty, spicy, and delicious. I also enjoyed the drinks; I had a tamarind beverage, although I would have preferred beer. Just a heads up—there's no alcohol served, and BYO isn’t allowed either! There’s parking available at the restaurant, located just outside of downtown. I highly recommend this place!

Awesome authentic Salvadoran dishes. The tamales and street tacos are sublime. The prices are less than half of fast food and each table is given a complimentary tray of topping including lime wedges/ radish wedges, cold cooked onion and cold roasted jalapenos. Wash it down with a Mexican Coke in the bottle or other assorted sodas or beers. Pro tip: I have only heard Spanish spoken here, so bring a Spanish speaking friend to facilitate the ordering process. Their menus offer photos of each item and are in both Spanish/English so you can point to what you want if need be. The wait staff are very friendly and gracious. Best food, service and prices trifecta in town. Enjoy!
