Applebee's Grill - Ocala

I got the southwest chicken bowl, which was very good. Our server was Brittany. And even though they were very short staffed,(only 2 servers, 1 cook and 0 bartender)she was friendly and efficient. We were very pleased with both the service and the food.

So we walked in and there was almost nobody in there. A very slow Saturday. The host informed us that the kitchen is short staffed and so the food would be a 20-30 minute wait. That?s fine, we?ll have some drinks while we wait. The host proceeds to tell us that they will not be seating anyone until all other orders have been brought out. So we can?t even have a drink while we wait? We would have to sit up front until everyone else in the restaurant had received their food? We left but they lost out on money. Not very good business if you ask me. No wonder they are short staffed.

The french fries were missing and the burger did not have the toppings it was supposed to. the chicken alfredo meal was very very small

Food was tepid but expected that. Chicken in alfredo very dry. Ordered the ice tea that serves 6-8 (shown in a jug like container) got a 24 oz cup with ice and some tea for $5.99. Lesson learned, not the place to order from.

Date night!!! The food was great. The service was good, better if the server keeps our drinks filled. She was busy. Overall it was a good experience!
