We ordered a pot of tea for 2 and 2 sandwiches, and waited and waited, and waited. We'd actually drunk the whole pot of tea before our food arrived- 5 cups of tea! Sandwiches arrived and what a disappointment. Bacon sandwich possibly had 2 pieces of bacon in it, the hot dog sandwich had 1 small tinned hot dog in it that had been split into two and then cheese put over it. Why so long to get the food out then? Must have sat for 20 mins and watched 2 other tables get theirs first. Sorry but won't return. One to pass by next time we're in the area. And yes the food was alright... but just alright.....
I stopped by this amazing and unique vintage cafe for a quick drink and I didn't want to leave! It was a delightful experience for all the senses. I couldn't resist indulging in a freshly baked scone and an ice cream treat served on beautiful china plates, all while enjoying the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The cafe is decorated with tasteful retro items that are available for purchase, there was gentle music playing in the background, and the staff were all very friendly and relaxed. This place is a must-visit when in Tynemouth village, I can't wait to go back!
We have visited this charming cafe three times. The food is fantastic and the staff are wonderful. We will definitely be returning and I highly recommend it. I appreciate the mismatched decor of old-fashioned tables and chairs, which brings back nostalgic childhood memories. It's definitely worth a visit.
We visited the Kitschner Vintage Cafe whilst searching for an establishment that catered for Gluten Free. The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable offering every single dish on his menu gluten free which was a huge plus. The food was really tasty and great for a proper cup of tea and coffee.
Situated in an old church this is a really nice vintage cafe. We had scones, lavander and an orange and cranberry flavour, and a couple of lattes. Very good scones and still warm. The surroundings are quirky and pleasant. Friendly staff. Service was a little slow, the cafe was busy but well worth the wait.
