The Wheel House - North Shields

The owners of this caffe are literally the most friendly people around the world. my friend and I had our first date two years ago. I came out and asked if they would open after hours so that I could ask my friend to marry me. they did it without hesitation! it made the night so special. oh, and she said yes. best dead, best coffee and best people. Thank you both!

What a lovely place. Cosy and friendly. We had hot chocolate, which was good. The cakes looked tempting, homemade style, but having just left the dentist we didn't have them this time. I hope to go back.

This is definitely worth a visit for delicious coffee and cake. Lovely little coffee shop near North Shields Fish Quay. Lovely ambience...cosy and friendly.

While some people have mentioned that the seating is uncomfortable, we personally haven't had an issue. The eclectic mix of decor adds to the charm of the place, making it a wonderful spot to relax. My mother and sister have also dined here, and given their vast experience in various cafés, they highly recommend it! The food exceeded our expectations. The ginger cake was incredibly light and perfectly baked, and the savory dishes were delicious and served hot. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. This place is definitely worth a visit; I believe it will become one of our regular spots!
