Pangaea - NORTH BENNINGTON

A lovely little spot by the river. The food was excellent, as was the ambiance on a Friday night.

My wife and I were visiting the area for a couple of days. We ate there twice and enjoyed the meals as well as the ambiance. The wait staff was excellent especially Nora. We did have to send the strawberry shortcake dessert back. The biscuits were hard as a rock and really not edible. It was taken off the bill but my wife was very disappointed.

Sat outside. Nice. Great black bean dip and salmon was plentiful. Craft cocktails were superb. Very good service. Lovely evenings.

We had heard good things about this restaurant and finally got a chance to experience. It's physically charming, a petite house converted to an eatery. We were not disappointed as we had to drive from Manchester. We'll be sure to pay a return visit.

Pleasant Friday evening on deck in rear of building. Most tables filled with additional tables inside. Server was friendly and service was efficient. Chicken bites were good but were not hot as the cheese (more) was coagulated. Baked brie (four fat fowl) with toasts was delicious but had a bit too much fruit jelly topping for me. Easy to scrape aside. Short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes were noted as very good. Also pierogis with onion jam enjoyed. Pork tacos and burger w bacon onion and Tomme some excellent fries were virtually untouched due the generous portions but enjoyed the next day as were the short ribs. Apps could be entrees. Good cocktails also.
