Contribuiți la feedbackWorld Chicken is awesome because it's cheap, but gives you value for your money in any case. Yes you're paying 120 to 180 pesos for a meal, which is good enough, but they also let you create that meal for yourself. From chicken part, to type of rice, to which kind of pasta and siding, that's all on you. Okay, yes, some of the pastas all taste the same despite their different names and sauces, but hey, you got to decide what to put on your plate instead of just taking it off the display board! Look, World Chicken is nothing great, but sometimes, I like having some gravy on my rice and that's that. If I get to pay less than 200 pesos for it, plus a choice of pasta and siding, then that's really awesome.
World Chicken has always been and continues to be one of my barometers for sulit-ness (somehow, value for money doesn 't quite work). Grilled chicken, your choice of sauce, a cup of rice, and one or more side dishes for just a little more than the price of a Frappuccino. True, their prices have gone up in recent years, but for working grunts in the Makati area, you won 't find too many places inside the malls that offer this much for this price. My perfect combination usually consists of chicken with tarragon sauce, plus bacon fried rice, and potato salad as my sides. Occasionally I 'll mix it up by choosing barbecue sauce and replacing the potato salad with Asian noodles. World Chicken is so awesome you sometimes have to wait in line for as long as 15 minutes. I think it 's totally worth it.
When my friend first brought me here, I couldn't believe how cheap their food was. Sure, some people who have been going to this place for years argue that their prices have gone up. But where else in Makati can you get a meal as filling and as cheap as the meals from World Chicken? You can create your own platter or choose a ready made platter. I like creating my own. So you start off with the chicken and they'll make you choose a sauce. Then, you choose your siding. Would you like a Tuna Fettuccine, Asian Noodles, Pesto Pasta, Spaghetti Pomodoro, Bacon Rice, Paella Rice, Japanese Rice, Kimchi Rice, Macaroni Salad, Potato Salad, Mashed Potato, Hashbrown, Pechay with Mushoom, Buttered Vegetables, Cheese Muffin, Fried Banana or Garlic Bread? Yup, gotta make up your mind what side you want. If you plan to stop by this place, come before lunch or after lunch, before dinner or after dinner. Many people stop by and there are times I've had to wait for ten minutes before my meal was set. But if you have the time to wait, it's worth it.
