Great Mex Grill - Newport Beach

Loved my dinner! Nice place and I really liked the whole concept.

We stopped here for a quick launch after whale watching. We love mexican food, but honestly we were expecting more. We wanted to compare with our mexican restaurants in Czechia, and we expected completely different experience in location with much better access to mexican food ingredients. I suppose it is lack of effort. Food was flavourless.

The food was good! However the wait may be a bit long as it is a small place which means that service is slow. However, we did get a small plate of chips for free due to the wait. It is a hidden gem and definitely more affordable than the nearby restaurants.

All 5 stars are filled here but unfortunately so is this tiny Tex Mex restaurant.
