Thought I would give them a shot again, and again? very disappointed. Just paid 25 dollars for the most pathetic ribs. Small, scrawny and over cooked and completely dry and tough. Worse ribs in the county. Not to mention they use that ridiculous vinegarsauce. It?s worth the drive to go to Jim and Nicks. If sad and depressed is what your looking for then this place is for you.Last time Sprayberry, you don?t get a third chance.
We shared a combo platter featuring ribs and Brunswick stew. The ribs were tender and absolutely fantastic. While I'm not a fan of the stew, my partner enjoyed it. The slaw was my favorite, and the potato salad and BBQ beans were delicious as well. The fried pecan pie with ice cream was amazing too. Overall, it’s a great place! The wait staff was friendly and very helpful.
This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I ordered a BBQ pork sandwich along with strawberry cobbler for dessert. My wife had the same sandwich but opted for slaw and a fried peach pie for her dessert. The food arrived quickly and was served hot. It was very flavorful, and the cobbler was outstanding. The prices are also quite reasonable. I highly recommend this location—definitely give it a try!
This was my first visit, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The barbecue meat was extremely dry, and even their sauce wouldn’t adhere to it. Given that this place has been around for so long, I expected the barbecue to be good. The Brunswick stew was tasty, but it was so pureed that it resembled baby food. With food prices being so high these days, I expected much better quality. It was a poor choice on our part, but I suppose we live and learn. After this experience, we won’t be eating barbecue again anytime soon.
