Amazing food! Such a large vegan menu! The creamy chipotle sauce was super delicious!

I just finished eating the nachos with carne asada. It was quite good, I liked it a lot. I can usually eat quite a bit. But my friend and I each had to take leftovers home, because we got full. For $13, the same plate of nachos just filled me up for dinner as well, so I'm happy. The complimentary chips and salsa helped with that. I thought the $4 horchata was a little expensive. It tasted homemade like they claim, which was good, but a little weak flavor and a little small for $4. I didn't love the music they played a little bit too loud in the restaurant, sort of latin guitar covers of famous songs. I would've turned it down or off if I had the choice, but it was ok. The service from our waitress was great, pleasant, helpful woman.

So I've been here before and their carne asada was pretty good. I even bought some for my coworkers. Well I decided to come back over here today for lunch and order the carne asada again and it was totally different. The meat was white and tasted bland like turkey. I asked the waitress if they gave me carne asada and she said yes. I've lived in California my whole life and I've eaten all types of carne asada but I've never had carne asada that tasted like turkey until today. Sorry guys but that might be my last time eating at La Charrita
