King Charles Tavern - Newbury

Went for a tasting evening and had the most amazing food. Fortunately, the day before we had dinner at The Ritz in London, although it was not yet a culinary masterpiece by chef Sam and his team for obvious reasons. We had the wine pairing and it was definitely worth the extra. Well explained dishes and wine would recommend each of their special evenings. I think a Spanish tapas night is next to the agenda and we will book as soon as details are available. Thank you.

A friendly pub, with 7 pumps from Cask-Ale that often change. It is very close to the station, so always a good radiation for one last before the train.

A very nice cosy place to go to and it's near the train station. They have, certainly for the Belgians, Leffe beer! Other beers are great too ; ! Very friendly personnel behind the bar and very helpful. Nice alround music and you don't need to shout to each other to understand what you're saying. I will certainly come back to visit this taverne to try out the food! 5 stars earned for sure! Went back today on friday 31st of August. Ate a hamburger and... It was wonderful! Good price quality balance and more than enough. Got some great explanation about the food and again very friendly staff. I'd give this place a 5+ if I could!
