Sergimmo Salumeria - New York City

We've visited Sergimmo in Greenwich Village many times, and we're truly saddened to hear that you're closing your location on 5th Avenue. Do you really expect us to travel to 456 9th Ave when we’re located on West 10th? Your staff has always been fantastic, your sandwiches are excellent, and you'll be greatly missed.

This is an incredibly tasty sandwich and meat shop in the West Village. I tried the meatball parmesan panini, and it was absolutely amazing. Just a heads-up, there’s no indoor seating; it’s just a storefront. The price is around $14, which is about typical for lunch in the city.

I’ve been eager to try this restaurant, but every time I’ve attempted to go, it has been closed (at 6:45 pm, 7 pm, and 8 pm), even though their hours state they’re open until 10 pm. I’ve also tried calling to place an order ahead of time, but neither the phone nor the website seems to be functioning properly. I’m sure the food is great, and I look forward to trying it in the future, but they really need to update their information to reflect their actual hours.

Yum, just yum. Had the big VIP with delicate prosciutto, none of that stringy stuff that gets caught in my teeth, and luscious handmade mozzarella... fig jam, arugula, good bread. Mmmm can't wait for the next one!

Excellent. Walked by not knowing anything about the place and demolished a sammie. Highly recommend.
