Delicious pasta and wine. Excellent service. Have been coming back over the last few years and always love getting to go!Food: 5/5
Not so hot on the half deli, half restaurant decor, seems a lot of wasted space. Mushroom crostini a good app, large ball of burrata on carbonara. Burger was juice and melty cheesy with a side of sprouts. Creme brulee dessert and tiramisu finished the meal on a sweet note.Food: 4/5
We happened to be around Bleecker street without having any plans when suddenly stopped by this place. We were in the mood for a bottle of wine with charcuterie plate. So we decided to go in and give it a try. The hostess accommodated us quickly although the place was packed. We started with two glasses of full body red wine and the deviled eggs. Everything was really good. The charcuterie platter came after. Everything was fresh and tasty. While we were enjoying all these nice bites we were suddenly in the mood for a little more food. So we decided to do the octopus roll and the mushroom crostini. Our excitement disappeared after we realized that both plates took almost 25 minutes to come to our table. Also when we asked the server to give us a description of the mushroom crostini she bent over our menu and she read the description through it -1 star). Also both plates were nothing special. The mushroom crostini had no flavor at all when at the same time the octopus roll was a mixture of unidentified flavors and very spicy. Also the octopus itself was very chewy -1 star).
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Suprema Provisions on Bleeker Street in New York City. I was excited to try their juicy burger and side dishes of brussel sprouts, pomodoro and braised Spanish octopus. The burger was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning. The burger was served on a soft, freshly baked bun that complemented the meat perfectly. The burger was topped with caramelized onions, smoked cheddar cheese, and a special sauce that added a tangy and sweet flavor to the burger. The brussel sprouts was the perfect accompaniment to the burger, and the portion size was just right. They were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They were seasoned with just the right amount of salt and pepper, and the addition of garlic and lemon gave them a tangy and savory flavor that was simply delicious. The pomodoro was another standout dish. The dish consisted of a rich and savory tomato sauce that was perfectly seasoned with garlic, onions, and fresh herbs. The sauce was served over perfectly cooked spaghetti, which was al dente and had a nice bite to it. The dish was garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, which added a nutty and salty flavor to the dish. The braised Spanish octopus was another standout dish. The octopus was perfectly cooked, and the olive purée added a tangy and savory flavor to the dish. The roasted tomato and squid ink polenta were the perfect accompaniments to the dish, adding a depth of flavor and texture that was simply delicious.Overall, my dining experience at Suprema Provisions was outstanding. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great meal in New York City.
