Famous Original Ray's Pizza - New York

Delicious new yorker pizza and garlic knots. highly recommended!

My go to spot for great pizza. Best pizza in the neighborhood!! But they have recently closed the chelsea location.. so many years its been there. Hope it’s temporary and not permanent. Anyone know why they are closed ?!! ?

There were 2 favorite pizza places in the neighborhood, and out of the 2 I preferred Ray’s. But today I ordered the worst pizza ever in my life. We dumped entire pizza after 2 bites. Worse than school cafeteria pizzas. never again!

High priced at $3.50Lots of cheese and sauce.Cheese is a little undercooked.Having trouble with the seasoning style, not Italian at all. Sauce seasoning maybe Spanish, but the seasoning that is most discernible is salt. Medium thickness of crust. Fluffy and crumbly, kind of weak started falling apart.Crust flavor is reminiscent of a fast food restaurant biscuit.Not sure exactly what they are famous for. Can't imagine it's the pizza.Giving this a rating of 84.

I been to that place before in the past and the quality of this pizza was delicious and it had bigger slices. It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. It has bigger space and sit down instead of standing up and some pizza parlors they don’t have tables and chairs and some of them you have to stand up which is hard to do. I can’t wait to comeback again anytime soon in the future.
