Contribuiți la feedbackI visited this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The food was decent and the drinks were okay. However, I’m giving a low rating because the restaurant expects you to pay in cash without mentioning it upfront; they conveniently have an ATM on site. They attempted to process three different cards but told me each time that I needed to call my bank. We had been on the island for over a week without any issues, and we were not in an exotic location. I have alerts set up for my cards (and I work in banking and payment processing), so I didn’t receive any notifications about declined transactions. I also made sure to use all three major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. While the staff was friendly during my daughter’s birthday celebration, a bit of transparency regarding their payment policy would have been appreciated.
The quality of food has definitely declined. For the last two years, this has been our favorite place on the island, but our recent visit was disappointing. The tuna poke was just lightly marinated tuna on a bed of rice, accompanied by... what were those strange things? Oversized rice cakes? They seemed to serve no purpose in the dish. It would have been much better with pickled cucumbers, seaweed salad, assorted vegetables, or cashews—so bland and definitely not worth the price. On a positive note, the beef bulgogi tacos and KFC wings were both excellent; they had intense flavors, and the tacos were well-presented with great textures and colors. However, the duck dumplings were tiny and not worth the cost. Paying $8 for a virgin piña colada felt like a rip-off. Also, I believe allowing dogs in a restaurant is inappropriate; the golden retriever at the table next to us couldn't stop wagging its tail, and it was distracting during my son's meal.
The portion sizes were generous, and the service was outstanding. Dining outdoors was a lovely experience with the ocean nearby.
There for the daughter bday. eating was good and drinks were ok. reason for a low rating is that they want to pay money, but do not tell them before the tip (they have a convenient cash machine in their restaurant.) they pretended to run 3 cards and told me each time to call my bank (we were over a week on the island without any problems and we were not working anywhere. I also made sure that I used all 3 of the main cards (visa, mastercard and amex). while they were nice about my daughter bday, a little honesty on her delicate choice would have been appreciated.
Eating is downhill. in the last two years this was our favorite place on the island, but this visit was nothing to write home. Tuna-Poke was nothing but a slightly marinated thun-fish about rice with. what were they on the earth? huge rice cakes? were they there to take a place in the bowl? try a few gurkens, salat, sorted vegetables, cashews. so boring and not worth the price. bark meat bogogi tacos and kfc wings were both very good, intense taste and the tacos had great textures and color. knödel were tiny and the money was not worth. $8 for a virgin piña colada is robbery and they should never allow dogs in a restaurant. the golden retrieval next table could not stop awakening his **** in my son's evening meal.
