Around 30 people joined us at the restaurant on Friday night. There was a $20 cover charge for men and $10 for women. The drinks were quite expensive, with a Ciroc and ginger costing $14 for the first round and $15-$16 for subsequent drinks, depending on the bartender. It seemed like they were trying to replicate a New York City vibe. The restaurant is clearly geared towards college students, being located on the Rutgers campus, which I didn't realize when I decided to go there. Despite that, I enjoyed the music from the 90s and 2000s that was playing, which appealed to an older crowd like myself, although there were only about 5 people over 40. The staff were sweet and friendly. Overall, it was a fun evening, although I was hoping for a more lively atmosphere with current music. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Additionally, there was a noticeable smell of vomit, mold, or something similar in the air, which reminded me of some of the places I used to frequent in college. It's not a place I would choose to visit at this stage of my life. I could have easily worn jeans and sneakers there.
Send them place with good music. they usually play hip hop and r
The previous establishment was once a lively club, but has since deteriorated under the ownership of P who rebranded it as Pearl and downsized it. The venue is neglected and unpleasant due to P's inappropriate behavior towards women. I have personal experience with his advances and know of others who have also been subjected to it. It is not a place I would recommend visiting, as it has been on a decline for years.
Rude and unprofessional. Bartenders don’t give a **** about the girls, just want tip money from the guys. Manager didn’t care whatsoever. Absolute waste of money.
