Gruene River Grill

Favorite spot in town, and where I'd say the locals eat.

Came here to eat as we were headed back home so glad we found this place! definitely will be my new go to spot when in town! avery our server was fabulous! i definitely recommend the spicy chicken sandwhich and the bacon cheese burger! good price for food with how good it was and how big the portions were! everything we ate was so good will definitely be returning!

The cheese sticks are amazing. The chicken fried steak is really good.

Service was slow to start. I think the wait staff was a little behind, but that was okay. Once we were greeted by our waitress (5-10 minute wait), the service was good for the remainder of our visit. We ordered the fried artich9ke appetizer to start. Be warned, it is larger enough to feed 4-6 people. But it was so good! The waitress mentioned that it was voted best appetizer in New Braunfels. I concur- it rivals the seafood fondue appetizer at McAdoos. Hubs ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. Said it was tasty. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup. While I enjoyed the soup, it was not my number 1 tortilla soup choice in New Braunfels. My top choice is at Los Fontanas. I highly recommend the fried artichokes. Every patrol around us had them on the table.
