Guest House Mansion Inn - Natchez

Dope environment, dope food, excellent service, great host. Denise was really amazing and so were the restaurant staff and owner. 100/10

We booked this hotel by accident, not knowing that there were two towns called ‚Natchez‘ just two hours apart from one another in Louisiana. (Our mistake of course.)We noticed the mistake two minutes after booking the stay and tried contacting the hotel for two days to ask for a free cancellation (or any type of resolution) due to this honest mistake.The first hotel employee promised to have the manager call us, which didn’t happen. The second one we spoke to the next day was rude and told us the manager wasn’t in to resolve the issue.No one ever called me back or reacted to the messages sent through the booking portal and their web form.Hotel seems beautiful, customer experience was extremely bad unfortunately. Moving the dates (we would have loved to visit the pretty mansion on a different occasion), a voucher or a partial refund would have gone a long way.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Guest House! The rooms were historic and had that old world charm. Much more fun than hotel rooms.Rooms: 5/5

Our stay was just one night. We wanted to take full advantage of the experience so opted for cocktails and dinner in the dining room. Overpriced for the quality received. Service lackluster and a bit unfriendly. Breakfast was included so we we were hopeful we would enjoy it more. Sadly, one server was covering the entire dining room. It took forever to order, receive coffee, etc. The food was cold upon arrival. People were coming in and leaving due to slow or no service. I suggest not including breakfast in the price of the room if you can’t accommodate your guests. The complimentary coffee station was empty. It might be better to offer a buffet vs a gratis made to order menu. Very disappointing. The room accommodations were acceptable. We knew it was an old mansion and that was certainly the draw. Typically properties like this have excellent food and service. Sorry to say, this was not the case ?

Came for the Food and Wine Festival. 4 ladies in a double room. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the bathroom. One roll of TP, kleenex box empty and could only use shower because a piece was broken and laying there that closed off the shower for bathtub use. So. Shower came directly on. Black (something) around the tub , appeared to be mold . Housekeeping was lacking definitely. We're not new to Natchez or staying in older bnb or hotels but cleanliness is required!Staff was friendly , air-conditioning was working well , breakfast was delicious but did note server seemed to be solo and the breakfast area was full and several were sitting outside in the heat . Main complaint....CLEANLINESS . I don't mind old antique ect... but be sure everything is fresh and clean especially for the cost of the stay !
