Beautiful little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. many good vegetarian options, friendly staff and tasty eating.
I work downtown, and Ajora is one of my go-to lunch spots. I love it because it's both a healthy option and it fills you up. It's also a fast option because it's a meat and three, or meat or two, or whatever you prefer, so you can walk in and have your food within a minute or two, and the prices are reasonable. I have tried most of the different options and everything is delicious. I also really love the homemade hot sauce they have on the tables. I can't get enough of it. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed and comforting. I hope Ajora is here to stay.
Never had Ethiopian food before. Very good. Hidden gem in the arcade.
One of my favorite lunch places in downtown! Good location for downtown workers inside the Arcade. Ive only tried the vegetarian options, but always like them. Limited menu of the same prepared food from a hot bar, so you can quickly complete your order, and reasonable prices. The veg platter (4 hot bar items with either bread or rice) is just under $9. Always flavorful and tasty! But it is always the same options. Because it's in the Arcade and nothing in the Arcade is new, dont expect a bright, shiny, trendy spot. But if you want tasty, flavorful food, this is a go to! Menu Flavored yellow rice is always available, as is injera, the fermented Ethiopian flatbread. Green options are cooked collards, cabbage and carrots, green beans and carrots. Also always offered are two kinds of yellow split peas, spicy red lentils (I *think* they are lentils), and potatoes. Sweet beets are also good. There are additional menu items, including meat items, these are just the ones Ive had and always enjoy!
