Willie Jewell's Old School -b-q

This place was awesome! I have eaten at several bbq joints in the south as well as the southwest and they do not compare to Willie Jewell’s! The staff was friendly and the food was out of this world. Super tender and juicy pulled pork which tastes great when combined with one of their signature bbq sauces with a side of beans. Also, if you are a fan Mac and Cheese or have kid that loves the stuff, then this is the place for you. The Mac and Cheese had the perfect combination of creaminess and cheese. My niece literally gave it two thumbs up and I agree with her! I highley recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great food and atmosphere coupled with a welcoming environment from the staff. Definitely a 10 our of 10 in my book and will be back for seconds!

A friend of mine and I visited for the first time today for our Christmas lunch. I have a new favorite BBQ place after what we experienced! She had the brisket, cream corn, and green beans and I had pulled pork, slaw, and collards. I'm hear to tell you as a born and bread Southerner, this is outstanding. The pork was so tender. It wasn't dry at all like pork can sometimes be. The brisket was fall-apart tender. Both with wonderful flavor, not just from being smoked, but real flavor. Collards were just right, not bitter, cream corn had bacon in it for a nice unexpected surprise, green beans were nice and cooked right, the Southern way of course! The slaw was mayo based but light, nice, crisp and complimented the pork just right. Piling it on the pulled pork North Carolina style was delicious. Jeff is the owner and has a spot-on establishment! Make sure you visit soon. He's the real deal!

Excellent moist fat free pulled pork and tender and moist brisket (I'm picky about brisket). I will try the ribs next time! The collards are a must have and if you're not counting carbs, the mac cheese is delicious. Southern style fresh brewed tea was delicious! Worth the trip up from MA!

This place is a hidden gem and I’m bummed I didn’t come sooner! Cute, clean, friendly service and excellent food! Can’t wait to come back.

I moved here from the South almost four years ago, and I hadn't found proper baked beans anywhere until I came here! Finally! I also love the corn fritters, mac and cheese, and pulled pork. Love this place!
