Contribuiți la feedbackFor his birthday, my teenage son wanted a burger with an egg on it. My husband knew the former restaurant there did, so he checked out the menu and, well, now I'm writing this review. Food was delish. We got some sort of smothered fries with gravy and cheese like poutine. Amazing. I got the short rib grilled cheese and mac cheese. Sandwich was to die for. Mac cheese was bland. Boys both got big custom burgers which were huge. We all took home leftovers. Only gripe I really have is that the drinks (lemonade and soda) are served in tiny Mason jar glasses that held like 4 big sips. Atmosphere was nice...bluesy, Memphis, southern feel. Service was good. There was live music that was....interesting, but not too loud to not have a conversation.
Stopped in for lunch with my husband and daughter on a Thursday. We were the only ones there when we arrived. I had the catfish po' boy (photo included) and my daughter had the mac n chees with fries (photo included). Pros: Clean, friendly staff, good food, nice atmosphere, free refills on sodas, kids meal was high quality (real mac n cheese, unlike Texas Roadhouse who obviously uses the blue box stuff). Cons: Food takes a long time, no salt and pepper shakers on the table So in summary, the food takes a long time to arrive but it's really good which means they probably are making everything fresh which you can't fault. But this isn't the place for you if you are in a hurry or if you have a rammy kid in tow. No coloring pages for kids or anything like that plus the long wait would make it tough for a high-energy child. Good for a date though.
Not too bad! We arrived a couple of minutes after they open (11:00 am) and had to wait just over 1/2 from placement of order to food on the table. That would be the low point. Otherwise everything rocked. Our hostess was awesome and attentive, food was good and prices were as to be expected. All in all pretty good. We'll go back.
Was there the night Erin harpe was playing. Acoustics for good. Had the chicken and gravy. It was quite tasty, well-prepared and presented. One pleasant surprise was the onion rings. Light coating, sweet fried rings. Rest of the menu looked like classic BBQ. Mostly pork. The burger option was a build your own. Start with basic burger and then pick toppings from a list. it's a good-looking list of toppings. Not for the indecisive. I'm going to pay attention to this place because if they have other good blues musicians, it's a good place to go.
Service was great. Lots of sports options on the TVs, which is much appreciated. Food took a little time to arrive, but it was good when it did, and I had a well-made cocktail to balance it out. Higher than my expectations for southern food in New England. Fried crawfish, Mac and cheese, and collards were more than decent. Drinks were good; I had the Dr. John. I was sad they ran out of cornbread, but it was well after 8:30pm on a weekend, and that is a sign it might be pretty good. Will definitely go back to try other items on their menu and hopefully get a chance to try some dessert.
