We arrived earlier than our 13:00 reservation, so we wandered around the property. There were a couple of friendly dogs, one more reserved and another barker chained up out of the. At the rear was a densely populated duck pond. The dining space was warm and welcoming. On the terrace a group were barbecuing their lunch. My companion really enjoyed his venison sausages and three types of freshly baked bread. My pizza was wholesome but not very distinctive. Seasoning with the available homemade chili condiments was an excellent idea. The salad was very interesting. When we went to pay in the office building, some recently harvested millet and other produce was awaiting further processing. It was a great place for lunch.

Very friendly staff. Great place for individuals or company trip to do snow hiking or team building events in Kyoto. Food seems to be organically grown. Fresh meat from mountain animals are used too. The stove is very hot and warm. Staff and guides could easily manuever around the snowy mountains despite everywhere looking alike. Very easy to get lost on such mountains so having a reliable guide is a must. About 2.5-3 hours bus ride from Osaka.
