Penny's Palapa - Nanaimo

Unique wonderful experience on a floating restaurant in the harbour. excellent quality eating, and friendly fast service here. chicken quesadillas and halibut tacos were our order, along with margaritas of course!

Great place to stop for lunch after walking the seawall. Delicious and large sized nachos, beers and a dog-friendly patio! Plus they have vegan tacos now.

Me and my boyfriend love to eat here, they always have the most amazing and friendly servers, who are always happy to tend to all of your needs or wants you may have. The food is always top notch. Over all its a great place for a nice date night or family outings

Decided to stop at Penny's Palapas for dinner in Nanaimo. The servers were great and there was very little wait to get in. Very impressed with the red snapper fish tacos with chipotle mayo with side of corn, beans, and rice! Very fresh and tasted like the ones I've had in Maui! I'd recommend anyone to give these a try.

The food was very good, although I couldn't try the tortilla soup because it arrived a little late. the service was excellent.
