A good selection of menu options and the owners put their heart and soul into it.Why eat at McDonalds or Burger King when you can have a healthier option like this? Hidden away across from Dollarama. These ladies deserve every table full.
Food is good, good prices. The lady's that own it also work there they don't have very good english but they know enough to help you order and stuff.
This is a simple little “no frills” joint serving quick nutritious Vietnamese food. It is more like a food truck in a fixed position location. Elaborate it is not. But what is does serve is very good, all made by hand, in house, by two very hard working ladies. The menu is small but what is executed is delicious. They have a simple 8 item buffet at lunch and dinner – not a huge selection, but each item prepared is done well and tasty. Their pho (soup) is big on flavour and made from stocks prepared the old fashioned “first-you-roast-the-bones” method. The beef pho is exceptional. Ditto the prawn & wonton soup with veggies. They make a good salad roll & spring roll. Nothing is overly elaborate, just well done, fast, fresh and good. And damn cheap. Every time I go into Green Tea I see the same customers over and over again. I think that speak volumes to the consistency of the food. It’s my go-to “healthy food” comfort food spot.
I tried this restaurant for the second time. My first visit was good when I enjoyed the hot foods. Recently I tried the shrimp salad rolls. They were made with slivers of shrimp that looked like whole shrimp through the rice wrapper. It was dissapointing. Recommend they be more generous with their shrimp!
The sashimi at this restaurant is excellent! I consistently find the rolls and sashimi to be superior to those at other sushi places in Nanaimo. The servers are also very friendly.
