Caboose - Mundelein

I have often eaten in Caboose and tried many of her menu items and never had anything bad. The Steak n Portabella packaging is my fave, Chicago Steak Sandwich is my second. I said her breakfast is delicious, but not yet tried. This is my next goal. I'm sure it's delicious too! Her salads are also excellent. For delicious food go here!!

Small place with great food. The soups are very good have tried several things, the latest the grilled steak sandwich. Cooked to perfection. Have not tried any breakfast items yet but looking forward to it. Update 8/13/19, drove past and location has new name. Not sure if it is the same people will stop by and review. If the original closed a sad day.

Food was good. Small and old fashioned, but clean, too. Extensive menu. Staff came around to check on us/how things were Midway through meal rare in this setting. Prices reasonable, breakfast selections available until late in the day, too. I will be back.

Great burgers and one of 2 places I know of in the area that has real cheese steaks. Process are a little high for the portions. I just stopped by and the place is now an Irish pub. Sad day because it was the only place nearby that had good cheesesteaks :

My son loves trains, so we often seek out restaurants with a train theme. When we entered this particular restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the staff at the counter. We placed our order, found a table, and sat down to enjoy our meal.
